Introduction

The purpose of FAA project is to facilitate the full participation of Galician disabled students in the in the opportunities offered by web education, as well as to show the effectiveness of an approximation to education in an adaptive way.

The specific objectives of the project are:

• Creation of an accessible environment for an existing open source e-learning platform (dotLRN), developed with standards and open software. This environment provides an interaction with the courses which is:
  1. Accessible (in a usable and adaptative way)
  2. Effective (based on advance pedagogical models through instructional design standards)
  3. Domain independent (reusable)
  4. Allows collaborative learning
  5. Web based
• Adaptation of tools and services to the student working environment, with the aim to make them accessible (tasks schedulling, personal and group agenda, versions control, access to personal and group documents in the working spaces, events notification service on demand, groups management, follow-up of personal tasks, etc.)
• Adaptation of learning materials and learning experience to the learning styles and formats that better adapts to the student
