Submission instructions
Researchers in learning environments are asked to submit position papers and demonstrations that address at least one of the topics specified in PALE 2016 call for papers.
To keep the focus on the key issues to be discussed in the workshop, contributions are suggested to be prepared in 5 page (excluding references) using UMAP (i.e. ACM) formatting guidelines. Nonetheless, if authors consider that they require some additional space to discuss their ideas, the length of the paper can be extended. In any case, the prepared paper in ACM style has to be submitted through EasyChair in PDF format.
The PALE space at Easychair can be accessed from: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=pale2016.
All papers will be reviewed by at least 3 independent reviewers with expertise in the area from the Program Committee.
Accepted paperes will be published in the UMAP supplemental proceedings published with CEUR by the UMAP workshop chairs, and linked from this webpage. PALE papers will be introduce by a preface by PALE workshop organizers.
This year a special issue on User Modeling to Support Personalization in Enhanced Educational Settings will be published in the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education, focusing on the topics of PALE. We plan to guest edit another special issue (the journal will be identified and contacts made to guest the special issue after we see the topics considered in the papers accepted in this edition of the workshop) with submissions from this PALE edition enriched with the outcomes of the discussions during the Learning Café.
