PALE 2017:
Personalization Approaches
in Learning Environments

Submission instructions

Researchers in learning environments are asked to submit position papers and demonstrations that address at least one of the topics specified in PALE 2017 call for papers.

To keep the focus on the key issues to be discussed in the workshop, contributions are suggested to be prepared in no more than 6 page (including references) using ACM SIG proceedings template. Note that ACM changed its templates by the start of 2017, so please ensure to use the new template that is linked from the UMAP website (Submission ACM Standard SIGCONF templates: formatting guidelines). The prepared paper in ACM style has to be submitted through EasyChair in PDF format.

All papers will be reviewed by at least 3 independent reviewers with expertise in the area from the Program Committee.

Accepted papers will be published in the ACM Extended Proceedings of UMAP 2017. PALE papers will be introduced by a preface by PALE workshop organizers.

To show the kind of issues addressed in PALE, potential authors can access the Preface of the Special issue on User Modelling to Support Personalization in Enhanced Educational Settings has been published (Volume 26, Issue 3, September 2016) in the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education (IJAIED) compiling the work of the first five years of the PALE workshop. The Special Issue also includes 4 papers focusing on the topics of PALE.
